1. Definitions

  1.  Corporation means Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Ltd., a 100% Government of Maharashtra undertaking.
  2. Producer means a person who has booked a studio/location in the corporation and/or additional facilities/equipment/services for shooting in said studio/location and shall include his agents/servants/subordinates if any.  
2. General Terms and Conditions
  1. These terms and conditions shall form and shall be deemed to be part of all agreement/s, if any, entered into between corporation and the producer regarding booking of studio/location in the corporation premises and/or additional facilities / equipment / services for shooting in said studio/location.
  2. Booking of studio/location will authorise the producer just to use the booked premises for shooting purposes under supervision of staff of corporation. The same will be create any right, title or interest of any nature whatsoever in the producer.
  3. The producer will be permitted to use the booked location/studio till midnight of the day of booking. In exceptional cases producer may be granted permission in writing by Studio Manager to use the location till next morning upto 8.00 a.m. Said permission will entirely be within discretion of the Corporation and may be granted for select locations subject to availability. The producer will not have any right to said permission and unless said aforesaid written permission is granted in advance, the producer will be bound to vacate the location/studio on or before midnight of  the day of booking.
  4. The producer booking a location/studio will be provided additional facilities like electricity, canteen, lighting, make-up van, air-conditioning, water supply, make-up rooms, security guards etc. subject to availability and  on payment of additional charges by the corporation and/or by agencies authorized by the corporation.  It is expressly made clear that electricity failure, mechanical failure and/or failure to provide any additional facility for any reason whatsoever will not be the ground for any rebate in compensation payable in respect of location/studio.  It is further made clear that electricity failure, mechanical failure and/or failure to provide any additional facility for any reason whatsoever will not render corporation liable for payment of any damages of any nature whatsoever.
  5. The producer will have to arrange Taraffa only through contractor enlisted with the corporation, unless special permission is obtained to engage outside contractor. The corporation, however, will not be responsible for the work of any contractor in any manner whatsoever.
  6. Minimum period of booking a location/studio will be one day. Managing Director/Joint Managing Director, in special case, may permit booking for half shift of 4 hours.
  7. Marathi films and Marathi TV serials to be telecasted on Doordarshan will be granted 50% concession in compensation payable for a location/studio. Concerned producer will be required to submit documentary proof to the satisfaction of corporation for availing the concession.
  8. Films and TV serials in other regional language (Except Hindi, Marathi and English) which are shot on 16 mm camera, will be granted 25% concession in compensation payable for a location/studio. Concerned producer will be required to submit documentary proof to the satisfaction of corporation for availing the concession.
  9. The producer booking a location/studio will be granted upto two days period for erecting set and  upto two days period for dismantling the set. For this period 50% concession will be granted in compensation payable for a location/studio. For period of shooting and for any additional period required for erecting /dismantling set erected on a location/studio, compensation at normal rate, as prescribed, will be payable.
  10. Producers booking a location/studio for period exceeding one month may be granted special package deals subject to market conditions and availability of location.
  11. In case any amount is deducted towards TDS from the bills payable to the Corporation, concerned producer will have to submit TDS Certificate within 7 days of deduction. If said TDS Certificate is not submitted within prescribed time, the concerned producer will be deemed to be a defaulter in respect of deducted amount and appropriate action will be taken.
  12. The producer shall not erect any construction of any nature whatsoever including a temporary shed without obtaining prior written permission of the corporation.
  13. The producer shall not install any equipment like telephone, DTH etc. without obtaining prior written permission of the corporation.
  14. The producer may procure adequate insurance for set and other material as well as for persons including artists working thereupon, if so required.
